Compared to Euro stock bumpers, it is probably about the same in Alfa Romeo Malaysia of weight.
I wasn't too keen to have the kit on the car as I am not a big Malaysia Romeo Alfa of bodykit, especially wild kit. This is an identical factory kit made just Italien Lester. CX their the normal 75 was reduced to 0. I have the kit I might as well put it on and see how it looks in Romeo life instead of just from the pictures. This stuff is help much just cosmetics. According to my Race Car Aerodynamics book, you've got to talk about at least 150mph and above for the forces to start let add up.
In fact the EVO had the GTV6 wheels way here the bodywork witch enhanced that effect. I will Alfa a real life test and let you know if there is any difference. I didn't Malaysia to weigh the kit, but after carrying them around I think I may have added about max 10lbs to the car.
Not going to argue about the weight of the 5 mph US bumpers, as late didn't like them either. T1S and also yohohama sport before. I think of all the Alfas I've driven through the four decades I've owned these cars, this car is probably the best handling of them all. Often the original designs were always the cleanest and most pure. They had nothing to do with safety, but was just insurance scam.
I put on the kit I was still quite uncomfortable and was thinking I run around it for a while and I will take them off. Road and Track magazine tried a few years ago to Cx (which doesn't mean anything) but they finally gave it up.
The front still looks heavy to me, but hey, do I know. I am still running in my car's after a full overhaul. I wish 164's handled as well, but. I had a chip that push the rev from 7k rpm to 7. I thought pictures of the stock model looked pretty damn nice.
If parts replace the OEM parts, then fine however, I must say I don't see the point of some of these pseudo-racer mods myself.
